The Handmade Community

Isn't the handmade community a fantastic place!

Having moved recently I found I needed to make an effort to make some new contacts and friends so I started out by checking out facebook for any groups in my area. It wasn't long before I came across a neat group of women called the Eastside Crafters who meet one evening, once a month to knit and sew and chat and basically just hangout:) I took along my stitching and managed to finish all of these...

It was nice to be part of a group again after been a regular at the Hawkes Bay Made It Here brunch meet-ups - another great group to meet and have a chat with:)

I have also found a wealth of knowledge that comes along with the members of a handmade group very helpful. I have been sewing with a purpose lately to prepare for Kazzalblue taking part in an upcoming Market Night that Fabrics4u2 are running through their business and trying a few new ideas! Its always nice to have a go to group that can help you along and I am pretty pleased with the outcomes. You can take a look at all my completed goodies, by clicking on the photos:) And feel free to join in the Market Night this Tuesday - 10pm NZ time on www.facebook.com/fabrics4u2
